EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience as an upholsterer or in a related field preferred
• Knowledge of different types of fabrics, materials, and tools used in upholstery
• Ability to read and interpret design plans and specifications
• Attention to detail and precision in measuring, cutting, and sewing fabrics
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

• Measure, cut, and sew fabric or leather to create upholstery covers for furniture
• Remove old upholstery and repair or replace padding, springs, and webbing as needed
• Install finished upholstery covers onto furniture frames
• Inspect finished products for quality and ensure they meet customer specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
