ABOUT THE ROLE

The School of Business at the Melbourne Institute of Technology (MIT) invites applications for a full-time

Lecturer position, based at our Sydney campus, with the following discipline expertise.

  • Marketing
  • Management
  • Entrepreneurship / Innovation; Leadership

The appointee is expected to excel in academic leadership, fostering a stimulating, collegial, and well-
managed academic environment. The appointee will provide exemplary teaching, research, and leadership
that aligns with MIT’s high standards.
The appointment would be at a minimum Level B, based on qualifications and experience.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Curriculum design & delivery: lead in identifying, designing, and implementing cutting-edge

curriculum, ensuring its relevance and excellence.

  • Learning & Teaching: implement best practices in program delivery, assessment moderation, and

continuous teaching quality improvement.

  • Research Supervision: supervise masters’ thesis students, lead research teams, collaborate for

interdisciplinary research, and mentor junior academic staff in their research endeavours.

  • Planning, policy development, and compliance: play an instrumental role in strategic planning,

policy development, and ensuring adherence to academic policies and procedures. Must be familiar

with HESF, AQF and TEQSA standards.

  • Student engagement: enhance student educational experience, address student issues, and actively

participate in the student-staff consultative committee.

  • External relationships: forge and nurture relationships with higher education providers, alumni,

professional associations, and industry groups.
