Description
[What the role is] This is a teaching role in the School of Humanities & Social Sciences. [What you will be working on] Conduct and deliver lessons to full-time diploma students and part-time adult learners in subjects related to Psychology and research, with a focus on Behavioural Science/Insights,Special Needs Education or Community Psychology. Design, prepare, and develop teaching and learning materials (for face-to-face and online learning), ensuring accessibility and inclusivity. Be attuned to the latest developments in the fields of Psychology, Behavioural Science/Insights, Special Needs Education, or Community Psychology, integrating best and current practices into the curriculum. Conduct and facilitate student-industry collaborations and take an active role in engagement with industry. Supervise students in research projects that may be quantitative and/or qualitative in nature. Mentor and motivate students, inspiring them to actively participate in student life and developmental activities, such as local and overseas learning trips. Provide academic and career guidance to students. Take on additional duties as necessary (e.g. committee work, overseas study trips and outreach events). Proactively engage in continuous professional development to enhance pedagogical, research, and administrative capabilities. [What we are looking for] Relevant qualification in Psychology is required, with a strong background in research and relevant experience in Special Needs Education, Community Psychology, or Behavioural Science/Insights preferred. Minimum three years of relevant industry experience. A passion and genuine interest to share knowledge and interact with youths and/or adults. Strong industry linkages to enable collaboration and engagement with industry partners. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate high levels of professionalism, and willingness to invest in continuous learning. Adopt scientific and empirical perspectives in working with colleagues, industry partners and students.
