As part of UNSW’s Education Focused stream, you’ll contribute to teaching excellence while embedding decolonising approaches and cultural perspectives in the curriculum. You’ll help create a safe, inclusive learning environment and support the goals of the UNSW ADA Indigenous Strategy, which aims to grow Indigenous leadership and ensure genuine equity in the built environment and higher education.

Applications are only open to Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, pursuant to the exemption granted to UNSW under s126 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW). We will only consider applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Establishing your status as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person means any person who:

  • is of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent;
  • identifies as an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person; and
  • is accepted as such by the community in which you live and or have lived.

In line with our commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment, the successful applicant will be required to provide evidence of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage as part of the pre-employment process, following the interview stage.
We understand that obtaining this documentation can sometimes be complex, and we’re here to support you through the process. If you have any questions or would like guidance, please reach out to our Indigenous Employment Manager, Natalie Chenhall, using the contact details provided above.
