[What the role is] [What the role is] Lecturer (Electronics) / School of Engineering [What you will be working on] [What you will be working on] Conduct lessons for both full-time diploma students and part-time adult learners, fulfilling all responsibilities associated with the teaching role. Develop and deliver curriculum, courseware, and e-learning modules for full-time and part-time courses in the following areas: Power System Analysis Power Transmission, Distribution, and System Protection Smart Grid Technology Electrical Design and Installation Other relevant courses leading to Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW - Technician) certification. Supervise student projects and internships in collaboration with industry partners. Integrate IT resources and multimedia platforms to facilitate effective lesson delivery. Counsel, coach, and mentor students to support their learning, participation in competitions, career guidance, and personal development. Undertake academic-related administrative duties, committee work, and support outreach activities, including local and overseas community projects and study trips. Plan, lead, manage, and develop industry-linked projects, student internships, and capability development initiatives. Foster holistic student development in areas such as career readiness and leadership. [What we are looking for] Qualifications in Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience. A postgraduate degree is an added advantage. Certified Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) at Technician level or higher. Strong knowledge and experience in the following areas: a) Electrical power systems: generation, transmission, and distribution b) Power system analysis, protection, and control c) Electrical machines and transformers d) Power system modelling and simulation tools (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB) e) Electrical testing and measurement instruments f) Electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, and local regulations) g) Hands-on experience in power system design, operation, and maintenance h) Fault analysis, load flow studies, and system stability assessments i) Renewable energy systems and their integration into power grids Proven ability to lead, plan, execute, and deliver projects that develop solutions for industrial applications. A self-starter who thrives in cross-functional roles. Capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks effectively.
