The School of Art and Media are looking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Lecturer to deliver on the BA(Hons) Fine Art course. BA(Hons) Fine Art at University of Lancashire has an excellent reputation, with notable graduate success and high scoring NSS.
Fine Art is an evolving subject area and staff teaching are expected to keep abreast of developments and align project briefs and teaching sessions accordingly. Fine Art Students work across a range of media and develop an independent programme of work. Students work in large, purpose-built, open plan studios.
You will work as part of the Fine Art team with cross year teaching responsibilities involved in all areas of course delivery including teaching, assessment, feedback, course review and recruitment. This will include teaching and development of areas of contemporary practice on the Fine Art courses at undergraduate level. You will offer specialist input in the area of time-based work and take a major role to deliver this area of the course curriculum.
We are looking for a highly driven individual who can deliver inclusive and inspiring teaching and work collaboratively with other staff in the area. With an enthusiastic approach to projects and ideas and a well-versed knowledge of what is happening and emerging in industry to support curriculum design. You will work with students at a variety of levels to support their progression through the course. This role will contribute to the academic development, course management, teaching, research development, and scholarship within the School of Art and Media.
