YOUR SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:

  • A strong academic profile in criminal law and/or the law of evidence (broadly defined), with a PhD (or near completed PhD), or equivalent professional experience.
  • Knowledge of the law of evidence: in particular, sufficient knowledge of the Scots law of evidence (or the potential to acquire such knowledge) to teach the subject at introductory undergraduate level
  • Ability to design and deliver research-led teaching at all levels of the curriculum.
  • Ability to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in their dissertation work.
  • Ability to develop an innovative research profile and research plan in the area(s) of expertise, including through high-quality publications.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage students.
