Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The Department of Classics and Ancient History is seeking to appoint a two year fixed term 0.7 FTE Lecturer (Lecturer B, pathway 1) in Digital Classics, to provide cover for Prof. Genevieve Liveley. This role is funded until 30/09/2027.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • teach the equivalent of two to three undergraduate units in Classics and Ancient History each year, focused on Greek and Roman History and Culture.
  • supervise and mark undergraduate dissertations.
  • take an active part in administrative processes, including Open Days and Post-Offer Visitor Days.
  • act as personal tutor.
  • conduct research in your chosen field.
  • collaborate with the Director of the Research Institute for Sociotechnical Cyber Security (RISCS) on complementary research.
