ROLE

Hugh Baird College is looking for a highly motivated Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join our Building Services Team. We’re seeking an experienced electrical professional who is passionate about developing and inspiring the next generation of electricians. If you’re looking for a new challenge in Further Education, we invite you to apply and become part of our team.
As a Lecturer, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to ensure that our students achieve successful learning outcomes and progress to their chosen destinations. While previous teaching experience and/or a recognised teaching qualification are desirable, we also welcome applicants with a passion for the electrical industry and a commitment to fostering the growth of future professionals.
You’ll use your professional expertise to deliver engaging and effective teaching across our electrical programmes up to level 3. This role caters to 16–18 year-old learners, apprentices, and adult groups. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire educational spectrum, including planning and preparation, marking, day-to-day communication with students, and administration tasks such as admissions, enrolment, registration, and attendance tracking.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team in a dynamic and innovative college. If you have a passion for teaching and the ability to inspire and motivate students, we would love to hear from you.
At Hugh Baird, we hold high expectations of ourselves and each other, and as a value-driven candidate, you will champion excellence, lead with integrity, welcome accountability, and look for ways to collaborate and be innovative across your areas of work.
