LECTURER IN FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING (0.4 FTE – PART TIME)

Salary:_ £28,443 - £35,484 per annum (pro rata: £11,377 - £14,193, based on experience and qualifications)_
Hours: 14 per week (Part Time)
We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in Finance to join our team as a Lecturer in Finance and Accounting. This role will provide short- to long-term sick cover and will play a key role in delivering and assessing a range of Further Education programmes in Accounting and Finance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A degree in Accounting, Business Studies, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Finance and/or Accounting at Further Education level.
  • Confidence in delivering sessions both in-person and online.
  • An AAT qualification or strong knowledge of AAT would be an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and assess Finance and Accounting qualifications to a diverse student body across college campuses, learning centres, and workplace settings.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, course development, and the creation of teaching and learning materials.
  • Support the development and standardisation of schemes of work and lesson plans.
  • Participate actively in departmental and course team meetings and contribute to curriculum enhancement.
  • Share best practices in teaching, learning, and assessment and take part in staff development sessions.
  • Assist with the annual self-assessment process and improvement planning to ensure high-quality programme delivery.
