Are you a passionate graphic designer with the drive to inspire the next generation of creatives? At the London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA), we’re seeking an innovative Lecturer in Graphic Design to join our dynamic academic team.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for a motivated design professional who combines academic expertise with industry experience. Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • A relevant BA (Hons) and preferably a postgraduate qualification in graphic design or a related discipline.
  • Strong industry experience in branding, digital, UI/UX, motion graphics, and editorial.
  • Teaching experience in higher education, ideally in the UK HE sector.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and Figma.
  • A passion for inclusive and innovative teaching, with the ability to inspire students from diverse backgrounds.

Desirable qualities include:

  • A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCert HE, Fellowship of the HEA).
  • Knowledge of emerging practices such as AI in design, AR/VR, or coding for creatives.
  • Experience with cross-disciplinary collaboration (e.g., with fashion, business, or music)

Responsibilities

Graphic design is at the core of LCCA’s DNA. As a Lecturer, you’ll:

  • Deliver engaging, practice-based teaching across areas such as branding, digital, UX/UI, motion graphics, editorial, and 2D/3D design.
  • Inspire students to challenge their creativity and push the boundaries of contemporary design.
  • Develop and shape curriculum content aligned with industry trends and practices.
  • Support student employability through live briefs, industry links, and portfolio development.
  • Contribute to research, scholarship, and professional practice in design and digital media.

Teaching at LCCA is flexible and dynamic, with classes taking place during weekdays, evenings, and weekends in line with our blended learning model.
