We are excited to share that are currently recruiting for a Lecturer in Maths (GCSE) to join our dedicated team on a full-time, permanent basis.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in GCSE Maths, a commitment to student development, and a passion for teaching. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
To be successful you will hold relevant degree or equivalent in Maths and a Certificate in Education or Level 5 Teaching Qualification. You will have experience in the delivery and assessment of GCSE from entry level to Level 3.

TEACHING QUALIFICATIONS & SALARY BANDING

To be eligible for our Qualified Lecturer salary banding (£30,583 - £46,263), you must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:

✅ Accepted Qualifications:

  • DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • Certificate in Education
  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
  • DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
  • DiT (Diploma in Teaching) – if for a vocational subject

If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will fall into our Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£25,611 - £28,817).

❌ Not Accepted as Stand Alone Qualifications:

  • PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • CTLLS (Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)

Responsibilities

This role will allow you to deliver exciting and interactive teaching, learning and assessment to an outstanding standard, whilst ensuring outstanding success for all learners and ensure targets are met. You will assume responsibility within course teams for the quality of course delivery and work with an agreed teaching load, to teach groups of students in one or more of the core programme areas.
