An exciting opportunity has become available for a clinical midwife who is interested in working in Higher Education. Experience has shown that midwives who are interested in working in academia find these opportunities beneficial in providing insight into the role of the midwife teacher.
The secondment/ Fixed term contract will enable the successful applicant to experience all areas of the midwifery Lecturer role, under the guidance of our expert midwifery team. The applicant will be expected to engage in all areas of the midwifery lecturer role, including theory and skills-based teaching and to provide pastoral care for students. The successful applicant will also be allocated a practice site to support students in the practice environment.
The midwifery department is within the School of Education, Midwifery and Social Work, and sits in the Faculty of Health, Science, Social Work and Education and is based at Kingston Hill.
