Job Description The School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences is seeking a passionate and dedicated teaching-focused Lecturer (Level B) to join pharmacology for a 3 year, full-time role. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to innovative, high‑quality teaching and will be responsible for developing and delivering course material informed by current clinical knowledge for lectures and workshops in Pharmacology. This position is teaching-focused and involves delivering Pharmacology in undergraduate and postgraduate Pharmacy programs, as well as contributing to the School’s teaching and scholarship outcomes, including teaching excellence and engagement activities. Here’s how you’ll make it matter: Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses across one or more areas within Pharmacology, including tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, field excursions, clinical or studio sessions, student consultation, and assessment activities. Foster an outstanding student experience by encouraging active participation and engagement across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Continuously enhance teaching practice through professional development, scholarly inquiry, and critical reflection. Foster innovation and a future-focused approach to support high quality learning and teaching outcomes for students evidenced by technology enhanced learning, problem oriented, authentic learning and assessment practices. Contribute to the quality, innovation, currency, and evidence base of learning and teaching through scholarly activities and outputs. This is a 3-year, full-time position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples. Salary Range The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $113,226 - $134,460 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $132,474 - $157,318 per annum. Qualifications What matters most is your commitment to student learning and professional standards in pharmacology education. You’ll bring energy, insight, and a focus on impact. To be successful, you will have: A PhD degree in Pharmacology or related discipline. Demonstrated teaching experience in Pharmacology at a tertiary level is highly desirable. Relevant knowledge, skills, and leadership in teaching and curriculum development, with a proven ability to administer university courses and programs. Familiarity with technology-enhanced learning and assessment approaches. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and support student learning.
