DESCRIPTION
The University of Rochester invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position in Public Health within the Program in Public Health-Related Majors. We are particularly interested in candidates whose expertise focuses on the social determinants of health, with a foundation in anthropological, sociological, or social psychological perspectives. This position will play a vital role in advancing the program’s interdisciplinary mission, offering systematic and critical approaches to understanding health and healthcare through diverse academic lenses.
The Program in Public Health-Related Majors serves undergraduate students and encompasses five distinct majors: (1) Bioethics, (2) Environmental Health, (3) Epidemiology, (4) Health Policy, and (5) Health, Behavior, and Society. Annually, the program graduates approximately 50 students who are prepared to address complex health challenges through multifaceted and innovative approaches.
With satisfactory progress, the position may be renewed on an ongoing basis. The program also hopes to convert the position into a tenure-track position in the future.
