Job Description Join our Department of Accounting, Finance, and Economics, commencing in Trimester 2, 2026 or earlier! As a Lecturer, specialising in financial planning at Griffith, you will: Lead and deliver high‑quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate subjects in financial planning, personal finance, superannuation and retirement, insurance, tax for planners, and ethics and professional conduct. Contribute to high-impact research and build a portfolio of high-quality outputs. Foster an outstanding student experience and encourage active participation in learning and teaching. Continuously improve teaching practices through professional development and critical reflection. Support high-quality learning outcomes through innovative and future-focused approaches. Develop meaningful partnerships with the broader community and external stakeholders. The role is pivotal to sustaining professionally accredited and industry‑relevant curricula, strong student outcomes, and constructive partnerships with employers and accrediting bodies. The appointee will champion pedagogical innovation, inclusive teaching, and work‑integrated learning that prepares students for professional practice in Australia’s financial advice profession. About You We are looking for individuals with a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline, a special interest in teaching personal finance/financial planning and the ability to network effectively with internal and external stakeholders. You should also demonstrate leadership in teaching and curriculum development, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to working in a collegial manner. Workload Profile The role is teaching‑intensive, with the expectation that approximately seventy percent of workload is dedicated to teaching and learning, ten to twenty percent to service and engagement, and the remainder to scholarship of teaching and learning or research. Salary Range The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $113,226 - $134,460 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $132,474 - $157,318 per annum. You can be based either at our Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) or Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
