WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR – SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • A doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline (or equivalent accreditation and professional standing for Teaching Focused Clinical Professional role).
  • Demonstrated high-level teaching skills and a reflective approach to teaching delivery.
  • A strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline.
  • An emerging record of contribution to scholarship in teaching.
  • Demonstrated experience/capacity to undertake unit coordination.
  • Demonstrated high-level communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross-cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the application of relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The School of Allied Health has an opening for a 0.5 FTE Lecturer (Teaching Academic or Teaching & Research) for an Occupational Therapist, preferably with expertise in the area of Ergonomics, commencing in January 2026.
This role is pivotal in enhancing the student learning experience through exceptional teaching practices and innovative curriculum design. The ideal candidate will promote and support student learning through mentoring and leadership, demonstrating a commitment to developing learning and teaching communities.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered
  • Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction.
  • Applicants must be currently registered with Ahpra.
  • Part-time position (0.5 FTE) requiring 2.5 days of work per week. The specific workdays are negotiable.
