JOB SUMMARY

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position as Lecturer of Aerospace Engineering or Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with a preferred start date of January 2026. This is a nine-month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A PhD degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Expertise to teach courses in Aerospace Engineering, such as Spacecraft Design, Spacecraft Dynamics and Controls, Spacecraft propulsion, Orbital Mechanics and their laboratories.
  • Teaching familiarity with face-to-face, on-line or hybrid modalities.
  • Record of past teaching Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering courses at the undergraduate level.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the Aerospace Engineering industry.
Responsibilities
  • Teaching undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Service to Department, College, University, and/or professional community is expected.
    Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
