For more information, please visit https://www.tamiu.edu/. This is a non-tenure track lecturer (three-year position) for English to teach in the First Year Writing Program. Primary duties will include teaching 15 semester credit hours per semester, the equivalent of five courses in composition such as ENGL 1301, 1302, and 2311. Duties also include providing service to the department, college, university, and students. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace. The Department of Humanities offers BA and MA programs in English, History, and Spanish, as well as eight minor programs Required Qualifications The successful candidate must hold an earned Master's degree in English. Candidates must be available to teach face-to-face classes on campus, including early morning and evening classes. We strongly encourage candidates with prior teaching experience, particularly experience teaching composition courses. Financial support for professional development opportunities, such as attending academic conferences, is also provided. Moving expenses are covered in whole or in part by the university.
