ABOUT US
At Edge Hill University we believe in the life changing opportunities knowledge can create. Since 1885, we’ve been creating access to knowledge for those who may not have had the opportunity to before.
Today, the effect we have has a far-reaching impact, not just for those who come to study here but for those who work, invest in, and live in our local communities too. So, if you’ve ever wondered if one person can make a difference, simply speak to our alumni, students, and award-winning staff.
Because for us education isn’t about how much you take in. It’s about what you take out into the world.
Inspiring minds and changing futures since 1885, Edge Hill University is “A great success story… an institution that improves and impresses year after year” – Times Higher Education.
As Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Education, Youth and Mental Health, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum in these areas. While not essential to the role, applicants with Qualified Teacher Status will ideally have experience of leading on or contributing to the delivery of university-based Initial Teacher Education at Level 7.
You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence exercise. You will also be expected to contribute to the work of at least one of the Faculty’s research centres, and supervise postgraduate students.
For informal enquiries about this vacancy, please contact: Dr Helen O’Keeffe, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of Faculty of Education at OKeeffeh@edgehill.ac.uk or Professor Andy Smith, Head of Department, Secondary and Further Education at Smithand@edgehill.ac.uk.
