Description

ABOUT US AND THE TEAM

The University of Sunderland in London, based at Canary Wharf, boasts a vibrant and diverse community of staff and students. We consider ourselves as an innovative satellite campus and are constantly evolving and have exciting plans for 2025 and beyond!
We are currently piloting a four-day working week which allows our colleagues to work 32 hours over 4 days per week with no reduction in pay. The pilot is part of our ongoing efforts to create a positive and inclusive workplace that promotes work-life balance and allows our colleagues to thrive professionally and personally whilst maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality service to all our students.
In addition, we have moved to a modern campus building offering a bright and spacious learning and working environment.

Responsibilities

As a Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and innovative teaching on the Project Management and Engineering Management programme. You’ll design authentic learning experiences that challenge and inspire the next generation of project managers and engineers.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need proven experience teaching Postgraduate Project Management or Engineering, alongside specific subject expertise in a range of engineering and project management subjects (please see the role profile for more details). It’s important to us that you have strong digital literacy with the ability to innovate in teaching delivery.
We’re looking for someone with a collaborative mindset and experience working in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams. A passion for student success and a commitment to inclusive, high-quality education are key. Evidence of building links with industry and professional practice would be a strong advantage.
