    The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Summer 2025 to teach SLP 642: Supervised Clinical Experience Children/Adults ll.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Development of competence in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of communicative disorders in children and/or adults through supervised practice. Involves a minimum of 80 clock hours of supervised diagnosis and treatment including: case history review, interview, test administration, data analysis, treatment plan design, oral and written report presentation, and treatment plan implementation. Experience may also include activities related to staffing, educational support, counseling, prevention of communicative disorders, and the enhancement of speech, language, hearing, and communicative effectiveness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A master’s degree within the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Expertise in working with individuals with communication disorders
  • CA SLP State License
  • ASHA CCC’s
  • Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A doctorate degree with an emphasis in Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.

SALARY COMMENSURATE WITH DEGREE LEVEL AND EXPERIENCE

  • Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $2,203 - $2,670 per Weighted Teaching Unit (WTU)
  • CSU Classification Salary Range: $1,101 - $6,084 per Weighted Teaching Unit (WTU)
