Do you have a passion for international business? Are you looking for a diverse and interesting job that will help you contribute to the development of bachelor students? Do you want to be part of a recently launched teaching initiative? Then a position as a lecturer within the Teacher Academy at the School of Business and Economics (SBE) of Maastricht University is the right place for you.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Problem-based learning (PBL) has been in the DNA of the School of Business and Economics (SBE) since its start 40 years ago. In this teaching method, students work in small groups of 15 students under the guidance of a tutor, looking for solutions to problems themselves. As a lecturer/tutor, you will be guiding students in a wide range of introductory courses in marketing, organisation, global business, accounting and finance, with an emphasis on courses in the bachelor programme International Business. You will guide the tutorial groups, ensure participation of all members, and monitor the depth and breadth of the content discussed. We expect you to do this in an enthusiastic and inspiring way, stimulating the academic and professional development of students.
Next to your work as a tutor, you will be asked to engage in other teaching-related tasks, including grading of exams/assignments and BSc thesis supervision. In addition, you may be asked to contribute to recruitment events. Outside of regular teaching periods, we will offer you the possibility to participate in activities (e.g., educational research, policy development, administrative work) that suit your needs and future plans.
