Department/ Unit: School of Journalism and Communication Closing Date: February 20, 2026 The School of Journalism and Communication is inviting applications for the post of Lecturer for teaching practice-oriented courses in strategic communication (advertising and public relations), with a focus on the challenges and solutions in the digital era. Applicants should possess (i) a relevant PhD degree or a Master’s degree with at least four years of post-qualification teaching and/or substantial professional experience in advertising and public relations; and (ii) a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. More teaching experience (six years or more) at the tertiary level, and/or professional expertise in ESG, risk management, public affairs, or public and social engagements, will be considered advantageous. The appointee will (a) teach courses at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels; (b) coordinate experiential learning activities including but not limited to training workshops, local visits, and overseas study tours; (c) serve as academic advisor for students; and (d) take up other administrative duties as assigned. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to two years commencing August 2026, renewable subject to performance and mutual agreement.
