MK College Group have an exciting new opportunity for a Vocational tutor, to join the team based at HMP Fosse Way, Leicester. The role will involve delivery of City & Guilds Plastering, Carpentry, Bricklaying, & Painting and Decorating qualifications at level 1 and 2.
As a successful Vocational Tutor, you will truly inspire them and provide learners with a positive learning experience. This role may involve outreach work outside of the main classroom setting, supporting the vocational team as a whole. You will be connecting with students in a professional manner, supporting them with their learning, enabling them to achieve success through not only qualifications, but developing the confidence and softer skills that they can apply to employment as well as other areas of education.
We are seeking an individual who can communicate well with students, inspire and motivate them. The average class consists of 18 students, supported by a team of prison mentors and workshop technician. The sessions are approximately 2.75 hours long. Your lessons will need to be adaptable, innovative, and imaginative.
Learners will benefit from your invaluable hands-on experience and gain the knowledge they need to enter the building trade whilst learning in a safe and industry standard environment.
