Description:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, organized, and positive individual to join our firm. This position is a support position in the firm’s Non-Judicial Foreclosure Department, that will back up the lead Paralegals with a variety of tasks. The position is fast paced, requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work as a team.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

2 years in a position at a law firm, banking institution or accounting or collections firm desired (not required)
High School Diploma required
Paralegal Certificate highly desired
Strong knowledge of MS Office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Work in a team environment
Required to be in office M-F.
Excellent time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills required
Ability to handle heavy case load
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

Perform various steps in a Non-Judicial Foreclosure action, which may include preparing and recording liens and Notice of Defaults.
Review and update delinquent owner’s accounting ledgers, using various ledgers to compile into one and calculating late fees and interest charges
Prepare, review and/or finalize a variety of demand letters
Possible correspondence with Clients
Perform title searches and online research
Use billing system and calendaring system
Research possible active Bankruptcy cases
Prepare and transmit documents for recording
Process incoming mail and/or prepare outgoing mail
Work closely with lead Paralegal on other tasks which may be assigned
Other administrative tasks within the department, as needed
