ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a well-established law firm with a diverse group of energetic and outgoing professionals that truly make this firm stand out! They are currently seeking an experienced corporate/ commercial Legal Administrative Assistant Float to join their amazing team in Downtown Vancouver on a 20 month contract. This particular role will involve supporting certain lawyers across the firm in our Indigenous Law Group, Business Law Transactions Group, and Litigation Group as well as supporting our LA team with various tasks. This is a phenomenal opportunity to gain valuable experience in an environment that fosters open communication and learning!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ideally you are a graduate of a legal administrative assistant program with 2+ years of experience working in a law firm.
  • Experience in various areas of law is an asset.
  • Previous experience completing annual maintenance and working in ALF and PC Law is preferred
  • A post-secondary qualification related to law administration is required
  • Strong computer skills and comfortable working with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be well organised and a team player
Responsibilities
  • Assembling documentary evidence, pleadings, correspondence and agreements
  • Preparing trial briefs, court reports and affidavits
  • Maintaining records and files and conducting research to assist staff members records, court files and other legal documents
  • Drafting legal correspondence and performing general office and clerical duties
  • Assisting lawyers by interviewing clients, witnesses and other related parties
