We are seeking a full-time, energetic Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Fairfax, VA, medical malpractice litigation defense team. In this position, you will be supporting attorneys by: Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Manage documents by reviewing, editing, and proofreading in both electronic and paper format. * Manage calendar and organize daily schedule of attorney. * Preparing and drafting correspondence. * Screen and manage calls. * Coordinate onsite and offsite meetings. * Manage travel arrangements for attorney. * Develop documents and presentations. * Ensure accurate file management. * Enter time and billing information. * Look for new methods and technology to increase attorney and paralegal efficiency. Required Qualifications * Litigation assisting experience.  * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving, administrative and analytical skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook with excellent keyboarding skills; typing at 65+/wpm, and the ability to process a high volume of dictation and transcription. * Ability to manage multiple complex and concurrent tasks involving several stakeholders. * Superior detail orientation and time management skills. * Absolute discretion. Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Hancock Daniel is an equal-opportunity employer.
