Description:
Our client, a prestigious global law firm located in downtown Vancouver, is currently seeking a highly skilled LAA to join their team and support a Partner specializing in Securities & Capital Markets.
This role will provide essential support to a Partner who manages a demanding and fast-paced desk. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing complex legal matters, coordinating high-volume transactions, and ensuring the efficient operation of the legal team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Legal Assistant in a law firm environment, preferably supporting lawyers practicing in Securities & Capital Markets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal software applications.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in document preparation and proofreading.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the Partner’s calendar, appointments, and meetings, ensuring efficient scheduling and organization.
Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents, including regulatory filings, securities offerings, and transactional documents.
Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Provide administrative support, including file management, billing, and expense tracking.
Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
