JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced legal secretary/administrator to join our busy Private Client department in Amersham. The role entails providing full secretarial support to the fee earners, diary management, booking appointments and liaising with clients, audio transcription, liaising with clients personally and handling all general PC based telephone queries and/or requests. All typing/correspondence and document work, alongside the preparation of all legal forms where required.
Successful applicants will have previous Private Client experience within a legal environment and be enthusiastic and organised.
This is a part-time role (2 days per week) as part of a job share.
Annual Salary: £25,000 (FT)

Responsibilities
  • Quickly respond to existing clients and new business enquiries
  • Administration including but not limited to audio typing standard and nonstandard letters, producing letters, forms and documents which utilise Case Management and IT systems
  • Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney with appropriate supervision
  • Preparing correspondence and documents as well as amending and formatting more complex documents.
  • Filing, photocopying, and opening/closing and archiving of client files in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining and coordinating fee earners diary and diary notes and reporting on these as necessary. Accompanying fee earner on client visits (Will signings etc);
  • Photocopying of complex and/or certified documents (LPA’s, Wills etc); 
  • Providing the highest levels of accuracy, speed, confidentiality and presentation
  • Answer incoming calls, greet visitors to Reception, collection/delivery of daily incoming/outgoing post, and any other general office administrative duties as required.
  • Meeting all due diligence and compliance requirements including those relating to ID, letters of engagement, conflict check and AML regulations.
  • Other tasks as required.
