LITIGATION & DISPUTES LEGAL ADMINISTRATOR

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly focused and driven individual to join a busy, modern and expanding local law firm. Bright Solicitors is a Plymouth-based firm serving the local community, but also working for clients nationally. We are looking for committed administrative support within our specialist Litigation & Disputes Department.
The successful applicant will need to support the team’s case handlers by performing clerical and administrative work. No previous experience in a law firm is required and training will be provided.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Some level of office-based administrative experience is preferable but not essential.
No legal based qualifications required

Responsibilities
  • To support the team in providing excellent customer service.
  • To undertake copying, filing and scanning, as required.
  • Taking initial calls from potential new clients, take details of their enquiry and prepare a quote for the work based on guidance given by the team.
  • Primary responsibility for ensuring compliance on the files, monitoring which clients have provided us with their ID, signed client care letter and ensuring internal compliance records are complete.
  • To ensure the confidentiality of all firm and client documentation and information.
  • Overseeing the opening of files on the Practice Management system, checking that all details are recorded correctly.
  • Overseeing the closure of files when appropriate, ensuring any clients or office balances on the file have been accounted for and a certified copy of original signed documents have been recorded onto the file.
  • Booking appointments on behalf of the fee earner and department.
