  • VPS Grade 4: $97,955-$111,142 plus superannuation.

ABOUT YOU:

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • Technical legal skills with the ability to analyse complex operational, policy and legal issues, interpret legislation and develop accurate legal solutions, proactively seeking supervision where required
  • Experience providing legal advice in relation to public or administrative law matters, or in civil or criminal litigation
  • Experience in, or knowledge of, Victorian Government and Cabinet processes

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Admitted, or eligible to be admitted, to practice as a legal practitioner in Victoria.
Responsibilities

The Public Law and Litigation team (PLL) in OGC has a fast-paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary legal practice. We work on a broad range of matters including:

Some of your duties will include:

  • Providing solutions based legal and policy advice, both written and oral, on issues relevant to government, ministers, and the department, both individually and as part of a team of solicitors
  • Independently manage multiple complex and sensitive matters (both litigation and advisory) for various clients.
  • Undertake legal research and analysis on complex legal matters with outstanding statutory interpretation skills.
