Legal Advisor Expressions of interest to join Destination NSW, a division within the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Clerk Grade 7/8 with a salary range of $113,574 - $125,720 per annum plus superannuation Temporary role until 30 October 2026 based in Sydney, NSW About the role As a Legal Advisor, you will provide clear, practical legal advice and prepare high-quality legal documents to support the work of Destination NSW. You will play a key role in helping the organisation manage legal risk and meet its obligations while delivering programs that support the visitor economy. You will coordinate the drafting and execution of a wide range of contracts, including event funding, marketing partnerships and sponsorship agreements. You will also prepare legal documents such as confidentiality agreements and licences, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and government requirements. Working closely with the Manager, Legal and Senior Legal Counsel, you will support decision-making, contribute to governance and compliance activities, and assist with projects and improvements across the Division. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders and manage competing priorities to deliver accurate, timely outcomes. About you You are a legally qualified professional who is eligible to hold a practising certificate in NSW. You have experience providing legal advice, drafting documents and conducting legal research, ideally within a complex or public sector environment. You can analyse issues, interpret legislation and provide clear, practical advice that supports business outcomes. You are organised, detail-focused and able to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You build positive working relationships and communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders.
