Skills-wise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, legal studies, or a related field; legal certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in a Legal or Paralegal role, ideally within the fintech, financial services, or technology sectors.
  • Strong understanding of regulations and compliance (e.g., FCA regulations, PSD2, AML/KYC requirements).
  • Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive support to the business, including drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with financial regulations, data protection laws (e.g., GDPR), and industry standards.
  • Conduct research on fintech regulations, emerging technologies, and relevant case law, updating the business on any changes.
  • Liaise with internal teams to provide legal guidance and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Support the preparation of documentation for corporate governance, including board meetings and investor relations.
  • Manage and maintain the company’s legal filing systems and databases for contracts and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in responding to inquiries or audits from regulatory bodies and external stakeholders.
