Description
Responsibilities Provide legal advice on all matters relating to the Corporation’s property development, investment property and property management portfolios Draft and scrutinise property related transaction documents to be entered with tenderers, developers, contractors, service providers, purchasers, tenants and licensees, etc. Handle the drafting and approval of Deed of Mutual Covenants (DMCs), pre-sale consent applications and consent to assign applications and conduct legal researches Liaise with external professionals, residents and Owners’ Committees of the Corporation’s managed properties Handle property related legal work in the Chinese Mainland and outside Hong Kong Requirements Degree in Law or post-graduate legal qualification Be a qualified lawyer in Hong Kong with a minimum 6 years’ post-qualification experience in handling legal matters relating to property development, leasing and management Conversant with the Conveyancing and Property Ordinance, Residential Properties (First-hand Sales) Ordinance, Building Management Ordinance, Landlord and Tenant (Consolidation) Ordinance, the procedures to obtain approvals of DMCs, pre-sale consent, consent to assign, negotiation, execution, stamping and registration of agreements, leases and licenses and acceptability of title deeds and documents, etc. Experience in handling cooperation agreements or joint ventures of property development projects is an advantage Good communication in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) Able to work independently and with attention to details Applications You are invited to apply online via http://www.mtr.com.hk/mtr_job_en or send in your CV stating the position (with reference number) you are applying for by mail to Human Resource Management Department, MTR Corporation, G.P.O.
