Description
The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment. You will be responsible for: Legal Advice: offering guidance on a wide range of commercial matters, procurement, employment, compliance and corporate governance; Legal Document Management: drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of legal documents, including procurement contracts, commercial agreements, venue hiring contracts, employment matters, product licensing agreements, publications agreements, marketing materials, IT contracts, property management and security contracts, and agreements related to ticketing, merchandise, event and programme; Regulatory Oversight: overseeing and monitoring regulatory proceedings and general litigation to ensure compliance and effective legal management; Policy Development: supporting the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures to align with regulatory standards and best practices; Cross-teams Collaboration: collaborating with cross-functional teams to address legal issues and provide strategic guidance; Legal Compliance: staying up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations affecting the business; External Liaison: assisting in liaising with external counsel as necessary to ensure comprehensive legal support; and performing any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by GM (Legal) and the Authority. You should: be a qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of PQE, preferably in an in-house role; have strong understanding of procurement, commercial, and corporate governance; be excellent in drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, including experience handling legal matters pertaining to Chinese Mainland transactions; have ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; possess strong commercial acumen, problem-solving skills and attention to detail; and be proficient in English and Chinese.
