Who are we?
Kuali builds software solutions for higher education. We help our customers — colleges & universities — focus on providing a fantastic education to students by decreasing their administrative costs. We work in a competitive space, ripe for innovation, with users ready to be delighted.

ABOUT YOU

Kuali is hiring a part-time Legal and Compliance Coordinator to assist with reviewing contracts, proposals, and policies to ensure legal and regulatory compliance. This is a flexible, remote opportunity (~10 hrs/week), perfect for someone with a legal background seeking meaningful, part-time work—such as a paralegal, a retired legal professional, or a contracts specialist looking for a side role.
If you enjoy reviewing legal documents, catching the fine print, and helping teams stay compliant—we’d love to talk.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Have a background in legal work (paralegal, contract administration, corporate compliance, or similar).
  • Have strong reading comprehension and critical thinking skills, especially with legal language.
  • Are known for your attention to detail and clarity of thought.
  • Enjoy research, policies, and making complex language understandable.
  • Want flexible, part-time work at a values-driven, remote-friendly company
Responsibilities
  • Assisting with vendor and customer contract reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and legal standards.
  • Supporting terms and conditions reviews for sales proposals and RFPs.
  • Reviewing a variety of internal legal documents (e.g., NDAs, partnership agreements).
  • Conducting legal research on topics relevant to Kuali’s operations, such as employment, privacy, and higher education regulations.
  • Assisting in drafting or updating internal policies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and industry standards.
  • Preparing and filing government forms or registrations required for compliance or licensing.
