He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role This is an exciting and dynamic opportunity to become an integral member of our Legal and Governance Team and would suit an intermediate solicitor looking to pivot into an in-house role. We are looking for an experienced legal professional who is comfortable engaging with the business, the board of directors, executive team and Auckland Council. If you have excellent written and oral communication skills and are adept at managing competing priorities, then we want to hear from you! Key responsibilities will include; Supporting the business by providing a wide variety of legal advice on various legal issues including contractual disputes, customer disputes and complaints, and litigation Overseeing responses to Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act requests as well as Privacy Act requests. Working in partnership with the Executive team to prepare and finalise Board documents and papers Preparing draft key documents for Council including statements of intent Preparing quarterly reports to Auckland Council and other Council inputs as required.
