A highly reputable real estate development company firm is looking for a Legal Assistant to join their team! This role includes a large range of duties including but not limited to updating the company software for generating legal notices for lawyers , attending court sessions as a witness if needed, communicating regularly with attorneys, sending eviction notices, scanning, filing, photocopying documents, and much more! Job Description: Run delinquency reports through the company program. Follow up with past due tenants and assess if legal action is required. Update company software for generating legal notices for lawyers. Educate tenants on late fees and issue notices. Interact daily with the legal department for requests related to contracts, notices, and tenant files. Communicate with New Jersey county court systems over the phone. Prepare written notices and correspondences for attorneys. Review invoices from outside counsel and distribute them to accounting. Attend virtual court sessions as a witness if needed. Communicate regularly with attorneys. Send out template notices to tenants. Redline and edit legal documents. Handle outbound collections calls to tenants. Update tenant account balances. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
