Our company is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to help support our legal team. The successful candidate will need to work well with our lawyers and be capable of performing administrative tasks as well as reviewing and analyzing legal documents. The right candidate will also need to have experience working in a law office setting in the areas of real estate, corporate, commercial, estate planning, estate administration, family law and civil litigation. Knowledge of TPR, Companies Office, LDRC, ChildView and Teranet will be a valuable asset.

Responsibilities include:

  • Order searches and register documents.
  • Open and close files.
  • Accept and process payments.
  • Prepare statements of account.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Prepare cheques.
  • Research and write legal documents.
  • Answer phones and greet clients.
  • Draft real estate, corporate and court documents.
  • Write legal letters.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $33,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
