POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an organized and detail oriented legal assistant professional who is customer service focused. The successful candidate must be able to work under tight deadlines and have a willingness to learn and be flexible.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum of one year legal assistant work experience
· Related education would be considered an asset
· Good understanding of legal reference materials, procedures, and legal filing systems
· Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive or private information with tact and discretion
· Experience with Unity Accounting/Esilaw 360 is desirable
· Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
· Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders
· Good word processing skills

Responsibilities

· Prepare and assemble legal documents, including digital dictation, and organizing work flow
· Maintain files, diarize critical deadlines and prepare client accounts and correspondence
· Communicate with clients and other law firms regarding all aspects of legal file
· Schedule client appointments
· General office administrative duties
· Other duties as required
