COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Brigham Property Rights Law Firm, PLLC devotes its law practice to representing private property and business owners concerning their constitutional property rights, typically when the government exercises the eminent domain power. Our practice is considered a specialty; we practice statewide. We are civil litigators and, if not able to settle with the condemning authority, we proceed to a 12-person jury trial to determine the measure of full compensation. Our clients are not wrongdoers; yet they are made defendants to a lawsuit only because there is a public project in need of acquiring private property. Eminent domain is a sovereign power of government whereby private property can be taken without consent of the owner.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience as a Legal Assistant of at least 3 years in a civil trial practice
· Experience in preparing and filing legal documents
· Experience in research and document review skills
· Attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently alone and work collectively with a team
· Paralegal certification is a plus, but is not required
We have an excellent reputation statewide for representing owners, not the government, in eminent domain cases. We believe in both the virtue and value of the civil right of private property ownership. We are presently a law firm consisting of four lawyers who have a great team to assist us in our practice of law. Nevertheless, we have an expanding volume of work that requires us to add another experienced Legal Assistant.
