Responsibilities

PURPOSE

Working independently to handle the day-to-day aspects of our trust, deputyship and attorneyship files and to assist with the progression of probate, will and LPA files as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Progress matters as appropriate, transcribing dictation, preparing post for signature and accompanying fee earner to appointments when appropriate
  • Take calls and make appointments for fee earners
  • Liaise with clients and third parties
  • Manage day-to-day document handling, including opening files, filing and attaching emails electronically to SOS
  • Responsible for key areas to include:
  • Basic probate (typically UK domicile and UK assets)
  • LPAs between Wells & Street offices
  • Trust administration to include:
  • Trust register
  • Running of trusts and private clients (paying care fees, dealing with bank accounts, investments, reconciling annual tax returns via accountants)
  • Support and assist fee earners
  • Ensure service level agreements are met via case management system
  • Prepare invoices and arrange payment to third-parties and payment of legacies to beneficiaries

  • Observe health and safety procedures and work safely at all times.
  • Adhere to all internal methods, systems, policies and procedures
  • Be responsible for your own continuing self-development, undertaking training as appropriate to the work environment and developments in your role, including training on software or systems used at Chubb Bulleid if not already familiar with them
  • Conduct yourself with professionalism, tact and diplomacy as a representative of Chubb Bulleid, in line with policies and procedures.
