Description

We’re seeking a highly organized and experienced Litigation Assistant to support our legal team in our Los Angeles office. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment while working closely with attorneys on a variety of litigation matters in State, Federal, and Bankruptcy courts.

WHAT YOU BRING

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Minimum 5 years of litigation experience in a mid- to large-size law firm

  • Strong proficiency in MS Word (including styles, TOC/TOA, redlining, and formatting), Outlook, and basic Excel/PowerPoint

  • Experience with NetDocs, CompuLaw, Best Authority, and Adobe Acrobat Pro/DC is a plus
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with NYSCEF and ECF/PACER e-filing systems
  • Understanding of legal terminology, court rules, billing practices, and basic e-discovery concepts
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

As a Litigation Assistant, you will be an integral part of our legal support team, managing a broad range of responsibilities including:

  • Drafting, proofreading, and finalizing legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, and discovery
  • Coordinating court filings and e-filings (State, Federal, and Bankruptcy)
  • Managing attorney calendars via CompuLaw and Outlook
  • Preparing binders and files for hearings, depositions, and trials
  • Supporting client engagement, including drafting engagement letters and managing conflict checks
  • Entering and managing timekeeping and billing for assigned timekeepers
  • Processing attorney expense reports and providing overflow support as needed
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality on all Firm and client matters
