Description

Law firm in Langley, BC with a general solicitor’s practice is looking to add an intermediate legal assistant/conveyancer to their team. The bulk of our practice deals primarily with real estate transactions, but we do practice in corporate/commercial and wills & estates as well.

The bulk of this role will be dedicated to real estate conveyancing. As a conveyancer/legal assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Handling residential sale, purchase, mortgage files, handling all tasks from initial file opening through to final reporting and file closing; and
  • Performing other legal assistant administrative duties, including reception.

Position Requirements:

  • Two (2) or more years of related legal assistant experience covering all aspects of residential real estate transactions;
  • Experience using standard industry related applications including MS Word, Outlook 365, MyLTSA; LLC; assyst; and eConveyance;
  • Attention to detail (very important);
  • Ability to independently administer a file from beginning to end with a high level of professionalism.

To be considered for this role you should be a graduate of a recognized LAA or Paralegal program. However, if you have sufficient experience working in a law firm in this role, the certification may not be required provided you can demonstrate your competency as a conveyancer.
