Description

A well-established and growing law firm centrally located in Surrey has an immediate opening for a Corporate and Commercial Legal Assistant on their team. The successful candidate will work in a collegial team environment where growth and initiative are fostered and rewarded.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 3-5+ years of experience working in BC Corporate/Commercial practice
  • A Legal Administrative Assistant certificate/diploma from an accredited institution
  • Working knowledge of BC Corporate and Real Estate procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven client service skills
    Compensation: $65,000-$85,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct due diligence searches and reports
  • Manage file opening/closing, intake of documents, file organization
  • Perform corporate and Land Title Office searches
  • Review and prepare documentation relating to corporate transactions and commercial purchase, sale, leasing, and financing transactions
  • Prepare, draft, review, analyze, distribute, and send correspondence
  • Maintain calendars and schedule meetings
  • Liaise with clients, counsel, financial institutions, title insurance companies, land registry offices, and municipal offices
