Description Summary We are seeking a proactive, detail driven, and empathetic legal assistant to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting our attorneys with a wide range of probate and estate planning responsibilities. Assist with drafting wills, powers of attorney, trusts, and other estate planning documents Document editing, red lining, and proof reading Administer probate matters, including preparation of pleadings, settlement agreements, and filing with the courts Communicate with clients, trustees, and beneficiaries Case management and managing electronic files Calendar events, tasks, and deadlines Scheduling appointments Handling of incoming and outgoing mail Notarize and witness documents as needed Other duties as assigned Requirements Skills and Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent At least 2 years of legal assistant experience Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities while delivering a consistent, quality work-product to both attorneys and clients Ability to adapt to fluctuations in workload and changes in responsibilities Strong professional, independent thinking skills with strength in problem solving Excellent verbal and written communication skills Keen attention to detail and maintaining organization Punctual and dependable Working Conditions The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (typical office or administrative work). Physical Requirements Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Repetitive Motion: Making substantial movement (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
Responsibilities
