  • Previous legal experience creating new client matter files, closing and archiving files.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous billing experience highly advantageous.
  • Proficient technical and computer knowledge, with advanced skills in MS Office.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and assist with competing deadlines.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, regulations and experience with using the commonwealth courts portal and family law systems (desirable but not essential).

Responsibilities:

We are searching for a client-focussed and self-motivated Legal Assistant to join our Family Law team. This is a fast-paced role within a three partner practice, supporting an allocated group of lawyers and working alongside another experienced Legal Assistant.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Matter and file management.
  • General and personal administration support.
  • Document preparation and production.
  • Client liaison support.
  • Billing.
