LEGAL ASSISTANT

We are currently looking for a pro active professional with conveyancing experience to fulfil an important support role within our Real Estate finance team.
The Real Estate Finance team is a vibrant team with a strong culture and deals with fast-paced transactions, acting for both lenders and borrowers on refinances and property acquisitions.
Based in Cheltenham and reporting to one of our senior fee earners, the Legal Assistant role will provide support to the fee earners within the team, client and intermediaries, and will include the following responsibilities:

  • Supporting the file opening process for the team.
  • Being a first point of contact for any administrative and business support requirements for fee earners, anticipating the teams needs where possible.
  • Drafting, documents, and forms.
  • Assisting on refinance and purchase transactions.
  • Requesting property, OS1 and Bankruptcy searches.
  • Creating mortgage and purchase reports as well as drafting simple certificates of title
  • Drafting completion statements and assisting with post completion requirements (including SDLT returns and Land Registry applications)
  • Filtering client and agent queries, at times being the first point of contact for clients.
