Responsibilities

THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to be based in our Sydney office and work for our Hobart team. This role will support a number of solicitors at varying levels who specialise in a broad range of defendant insurance areas. Duties of this role will include:

  • File management – opening/closing files and filing/e-filing;
  • Monthly billing and reporting;
  • Adhering to client service standards;
  • Drafting correspondence;
  • Client liaison;
  • Brief preparation;
  • Diary and travel management including booking appointments; and
  • General PA and secretarial support.

This role will suit a candidate with the following:

  • Previous experience in defendant insurance litigation desirable;
  • Experience using precedent, billing and file management programs;
  • Enthusiastic and proactive approach to work;
  • Strong communication skills; and
  • Ability to build strong internal relationships
